Match, Agility Fun Match,  K-9 Musical Chairs and more. (stay
tuned for more details)  If you've never heard of Icetoberfest or
an Icie gathering, check out the slide show from 2013.

For those interested in Obedience, there will be an Obedience
competition in West Friendship, sponsored by:
National Capital Kennel club on Sunday Oct. 12 with awards for
ISD competitors:
Karen Riggin of Hrafna Icelandic Sheepdogs will be donating an Icelandic Sheepdog
Tote Bag for the high scoring dog in each of the following classes: Beginner Novice,
Novice, Open and Utility.

For those who would like to try Herding, the Pembroke Welsh
Corgi Club of the Potomac is sponsoring their
"Annual Great
Herding Weekend"  (follow the link for details) an all breed
Herding Clinic and instinct test with judges Roy and Debbie
Johnson in Westminster, MD.  Classes are limited so enter early.

Trish Baker will be available throughout the day to do Canine
Good Citizen Tests, (CGC) this is now an official AKC title,  the fee
is $20.00, a portion of this fee will go to
Attitudes in Reverse .  As
well as,
Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dog Certification for a
$20.00 fee.

A Dinner is planned for all following the conclusion of the
Conformation and Herding events each evening.  A light lunch will
be served Saturday and Sunday, Grab and Growl Breakfast  on
Saturday and Sunday Mornings.

Salt Box Park has an enclosed Ball Field to let your ISD run to let
off some steam.  All who attend are required to make a minimum
donation for Adults and for children under 16 to cover expenses.  
Any excess funds will be given to the National Icelandic Sheepdog
Rescue Alliance (NISRA).  A drawing is also planned to generate
funds for the NISRA, if you would to donate items for the drawing,
it would be greatly appreciated and welcome!  You can purchase
advance tickets for the drawing electronically by using the

NISRA's
paypal   please put tickets in the comments section of the
paypal purchase screen.   Tickets for the drawing can also be
purchased at the gathering.

A pre-registration form for the Icetoberfest event is required, and
should be submitted by Oct. 3, 2014, so that we can plan
appropriately.

Please bring your own chairs, crates and pop up tents if you are
able.  This an outdoor event we plan to play rain or shine!
(We'll have a 2 - 10 X 30 Hot Pink Tents to do events under in
case of rain creating a 20 X 30 space as well as two covered
pavilions)

The "Entertainment Committee" has organized these events to be no experience necessary "You can do it"
events for your dog and you.  The object of the game is for you and your dog to explore new things to try in a
fun, low stress atmosphere.
